Kevin Meng, CPA CA
Kevin is a principal at the firm and has more than 25 years of accounting, auditing and tax experiences. His client service focus includes public companies, owner managed businesses and not-for-profit organizations with specialized industry experience in oil and gas, mining, international trade, wholesale and retail, manufacturing, land development, and technology.
Kevin moved to Canada in 2002 after working in China for ten years as a CPA. Then he obtained an accounting bachelor degree from Concordia University in Montreal, and moved to Calgary in 2006 and become a Chartered Accountant in 2010. After working at a national firm as a manager for eight years, he decided to start his own practice to serve the public. Since then, Kevin has grown his client base dramatically. Today he is providing services to a broad range of clients including small and medium businesses across a variety of industries. Kevin’s professional passion is helping clients succeed by providing a broad range of professional services
Kevin completed CPA Canada's 3 years In-Depth Tax program in 2017.
Kevin is also a Certified Public Accountant (“CPA”) in China and is proficient with both Canadian and Chinese GAAP and International Financial Reporting Standards (“IFRS”). His clientele includes a large portion of Chinese invested companies with operations in Canada. He has extensive experiences dealing with these companies and their parent companies in China and Chinese auditors while maintaining quality professional services for the subsidiaries in Canada.
Mohammad Shohag, CPA CGA
Mohammad has more than 11 years of accounting and tax experience. Mohammad has specialized in helping owner-managed businesses and entrepreneurs as their business advisor. Mohammad has a wide range of experience with projects related to tax compliance, advisory services, corporate reorganizations, and succession planning.
After graduated from Memorial University in St. John’s, Newfoundland in 2006, Mohammad moved to Calgary and started working in public practice. Mohammad work closely with his clients, and provide insight to help them grow their business, minimize tax and meet their organizational objectives. Mohammad is a member of Chartered Professional Accountants of Alberta.
Rachel Liu, CPA CGA
Rachel had been working at various companies of Global 500 in China before moving to Canada in 2002. She then spent six years from obtaining a bachelor degree to becoming a Certified General Accountant ("CGA"). She now has more than ten years of working experiences in Canada including public practice for four years, senior financial analyst for two years and financial controller for 2 years. She has extensive experience in management accounting, budgeting, cash flow forecast and financial analysis. Her industrial experiences include oil and gas, construction, engineering, professional services, and non-for-profit organizations. She is currently volunteering as the treasurer at Edgemont School.
